Seems very promising. Of course the historical Accuracy in Content and Visuals will be neither here no there, but when even the Title contains "completely made-up" I can easily overlook that. Trailer makes it seem pretty funny at least, so I'm looking forward to watching it.

WAHOO! Last episode of season 1 react video by Danny Motta is up!

This episodes highlights include:

- Danny thinks Aziraphale is still adorable. Correct!

- Danny is pretty happy he got shopping Shadwell/Madame Tracey right. Also correct!

- Danny questions his heterosexuality because he thinks David Tennant in the tub is incredibly attractive. DING DING DING get that man a Cupid doll!

I love Noel Fielding & just want to tell any OFMD fans, he's not ripping off Our Flag Means Death with his show, he's played characters like this in the 2000s in The Mighty Boosh.

He's played foppish glam rock characters for ages. He's doing a parody on Adam Ant, not OFMD.

He's portraying this character from Adam Ant's Dick Turpin video. If it seems somewhat similar it's not on purpose. Pls don't hate on Noel, he doesn't deserve it he's been doing this for at least 25 years. He's an androgynous & goth icon LOL

Are there any period dramas you’re looking forward to in 2024?

Hiya,

I will split this into two lists.

Returning Shows:

Being a Penelope girl I am looking forward to Bridgerton Season Three for what I call my soft period drama fix.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Marie Antoinette for what it was so looking forward to the show returning for a second season and how that goes.

Vikings Valhalla season two felt very stale for me apart from Godwin and Emma (oh and Cnut but he needs to be a leading man IMHO), I am waiting with trepidation if it delivers in its final season which I think is a waste because I wanted to see it go to 1066.

The Serpent Queen do I need to say anything more, that show was a f**king hoot and produced by The Hunger Games sequels and prequels director (who also directed Britney's Slave 4 U video btw) it met my expectations.

Being a Tudor girlie I have to obligatory say Wolf Hall but in my honest opinion only for new portrayals of Anne of Cleves and Kathryn Howard (I am not a Thomas Cromwell girlie).

New Projects:

Firebrand being the #1 Catherine Parr girlie I cannot wait to see a new production of her and how they handle her story. I am also looking forward to a younger Catherine than what has previously been portrayed.

King and Conqueror, it is a new show with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William the Conqueror and James Norton as Harold, Earl Of Wessex during 1066 (so answering my Vikings: Valhalla wishes) produced by CBS and BBC (CBS owns Showtime). No official release date yet but I am into it. X

My Lady Jane, now Queen Jane Grey has become a fast favourite of mine so anything with her in it I am there.

Dick Turpin with Noel Fielding as Dick, now the Horrible Histories fan in me is squealing (why no Matt Baynton though?).

Mary and George, I feel the Tumblr girlies are going to go miles with this and I just want to see what it is about y'know be part of the fun.

a/n: sooo i was rewatching the dick turpin horrible histories video and my crush on mathew baynton came back up so i did a challenge for myself to watch everything with mat in it and today i nearly finished spy 2011 and im in love with silly guy chris!!

-let's just pretend you are a teacher at Markus school and (let's imagine he went to pick up Markus with Tim one time) and you were walking out the children. -and when he saw you his world freaking did a backflip. -so he started picking Markus up (with Tim ofc) more. -and he starts conversations with you and a lot of flirting too!!.

"bye kids! see you tomorrow!" you shouted at them.

Then Markus arrived with his signature walk. "good afternoon mrs./mr./mx. [last name] i wanted to ask you something about the assignment next week?" he asked "yes what is it-" you started before someone cut you off

"woah! hey little one what's taking you so long and..." he looked at you up and down "hello im chris uh... Markus dads friend i watch the little one when hes at work" "aww thats very nice of you chris i wish more parents had friends like you"

"trust me you really wouldn't" Markus mumbled "hey now Markus that's not nice thing to say to a friend now about that assignment"

-and after that he quits his job as at the tech store and as a fake lawyer for Tim and does an interview with Philip to get a job as a teacher. -and that's his first day at the school! -so during one of your classes you take the kids out to make a lesson in the nature and during that Chris is teaching his p.e class so you just go and strike up a conversation with him.

"hey chris right?" "yes um..." "y/n im Markus science teacher" "y/n a cute name for a cute girl/boy/person".

you blush but then start hearing someone scream, turning around you see markus on a bike attached to a carrier carrying his dad while there was a woman following them.

that is until you saw chris knock her off with the hockey bat.

-after that you started seeing Chris more and more and let's just say you started developing a crush on him. -and he is a lot flirtarious with you. -until Bernice arrived. Chris started going after her instead of you. -all day he said "oh we're gonna duet together at the summer ball!" and let's just say you we're jealous. -you didn't see him all day, you just heard things from Markus friends that Bernie hates him and that he's sad about it. -at the end of the day you saw Chris again and he started singing about how he hates Bernie and at the end of the day you approached himnear the tree, he had his guitar with him so you asked him to sing you a song and that he did while confessing to you with that silly smile of his.

I have to confess that I've got beef with baynton as dick turpin because many years ago when I didn't know the show at all I went to an event and sent a photo of my outfit to a friend and she sent me back the link to the music video and. we looked identical. boots, jacket, shirt, hairstyle, eyeliner. I went as a dick turpin accidental cosplay to an awards ceremony and I've never lived it down.

I don't expect it to make it out of preliminaries and I submitted it as kind of a lonshot anyway but please can people listen to and appreciate Dick Turpin's song from Horrible Histories. It is an integral part of the childhoods of most british people aged about 15-25 and I don't know anyone who didn't have a childhood crush on this man / gender envy. I know a lot of people now who would consider highway robbery to be one of the sexiest crimes and it's all becuase of Matthew Baynton in eyeliner and that cape.
